Terms & Conditions
PLEASE READ THIS AGREEMENT CAREFULLY AS IT SETS OUT THE TERMS UNDER WHICH BETH HIRST MILLINER OFFERS YOU USE OF ITS HATS. BY HIRING A HAT FROM BETH HIRST MILLINER YOU AGREE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND ACCEPT THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND THAT THEY SHALL APPLY TO YOUR USE.
This Agreement is made between you and Beth Hirst Milliner whose registered office is 20B Cape Mills, Coal Hill Lane, Farsley LS28 5NA
All contracts of hire shall be deemed to incorporate these Terms and Conditions. No variation or addition to these Terms and Conditions is effective unless it is agreed, in writing, by Beth Hirst Milliner
Prices for hire range from £50-£120 for the use of the hat / headpiece for a single event.
The hired hat / headpiece remains the property of Beth Hirst Milliner at all times
The full hire fee is taken at the time of booking and a booking can be cancelled for a full refund up to 14 days before the start of the booked hire period
The hired hat / headpiece can either be collected from our studio in Farsley, Leeds or posted out via a Recorded Delivery service at a cost to the hirer
The hire period is for 5 days and starts on the day of collection / date the hat is posted out and ends on the date the hat / headpiece is posted back to us – Proof of Postage and use of a Recorded Delivery service is required.
If you require it for a longer length of time it will incur additional charges.
Once a hat / headpiece has been taken or posted for hire it is considered a hire even if it has not been worn. There will be no refund.If the hat / headpiece is not returned within the timescales given a further hire charge will be incurred
No liability shall attach to Beth Hirst Milliner for :
•Any delay or failure to deliver due to circumstances which are outside its control such as postal delays
•Any damage or injury caused by the misuse of the Company's property.
Your hat may be fitted with hypoallergenic tape across the headlining. This protects the hat from make-up stains, please do not remove it.
Beth Hirst Milliner reserves the right to make substitutes without prior warning for any article that may be unavailable. We will contact you to discuss other options should this occur.
Billing
When you hire a hat / headpiece you will be required to provide Beth Hirst Milliner with accurate, complete and current credit or debit card information for a valid credit or debit card that you are authorized to use.By signing up for the Service, you authorize Beth Hirst Milliner to bill your credit or debit card the applicable fees, per-item or borrowing fees, courier charges, any and all applicable taxes, and any other charges you may incur in connection with your use of the Service.
The applicable fees will be charged to your credit or debit card on the date your hire is made.If your hat / headpiece is not returned on the due return date agreed when the purchase was made, Beth Hirst Milliner will charge your credit card for each overdue day, at the rate set for that hat as stated by Beth Hirst Milliner, until a return date has been agreed by the customer and Beth Hirst Milliner are notified by the courier company or Proof of Postage has been sent.
If your hat / headpiece is returned damaged Beth Hirst Milliner reserves the right to charge for the repair or the full value of the hat / headpiece if it is beyond repair and this will be charged in addition to the hire fee.
If your hat / headpiece is not returned Beth Hirst Milliner will charge for the full value of the hat / headpiece - this will be the charged in addition to the hire feeBeth Hirst Milliner may modify the price, content, or nature of the Service at any time.
We may provide notice of any such changes by email, or by publishing them on the Site.
HAT CARE AND HIRE RESPONSIBILITY
The great British weather can be the enemy of your hat / headpiece and although we appreciate it is beyond control, please be aware you must take full care of the hat / headpiece in rain, wind, hail snow etc….. Please keep it under an umbrella or, preferably, indoors at all times when it is raining and be aware of certain fabrics and features of hats being more susceptible to weather damage in bad conditions.
Beth Hirst Milliner reserves the right to retain the full deposit if the item is returned marked or damaged in any way. This includes but is not limited to holes, dents, stains and rain marks.
Credit or debit card details will be taken as a form of deposit and will only be deducted accordingly in the event of any damage after discussion with the hirer and Beth Hirst Milliner.
Under no circumstances are customers to attempt to clean any hats themselves by any means. If done so, Beth Hirst Milliner reserves the right to invoice for part or full replacement value of the items and charge you the full amount of any potential lost earnings or incurred costs regardless of whether any damage has been caused.
Should a previous hirer not return a hat you have booked for hire or it is otherwise unavailable, Beth Hirst Milliner will endeavour to find a good and suitable replacement. While we will do our best a direct replica style and colour cannot be guaranteed.
Liability is limited to the return of the hire charge if a suitable alternative is not available.If returning hats by post or courier all hats / headpieces must be posted securely and insured to the value of the hat / headpiece. Please do not tape directly to the hat box and a Tracked Service and Proof of Postage must be attained.

This privacy policy sets out how Beth Hirst Milliner uses and protects any information that you provide when you use this website or hire a hat / headpiece from Beth Hirst Milliner.
Beth Hirst Milliner is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.
Beth Hirst Milliner collects personal information when you place an order and by registering, you are consenting to the collection of your personal data. If an order is placed we need to hold personal information, including your name, email address, phone number, home address, shipping details and credit / debit card billing addresses so that we can process and fulfil your choice of hat or headpiece order. Saved card details will never be shared with third parties and will only be used to process your order using our payment partner's systems. Sometimes we may ask you for your telephone number and this number may be given to our courier to assist our delivery service. These details allow us to process your order and to let you know the status of your order.
